The objective for the participant in the Recreational program is to have fun learning the basic steps and positions of jazz, tap, ballet and tumbling. Another objective is to enhance participation, memory, listening, sequencing skills, balance and coordination as they express themselves physically.
Current Recreational Class Schedule:
The objective for the participant in the Competition program is to begin more advanced technique concepts such as proper body alignment, balance and position. They will begin faster and more intricate tap sounds. Jazz will bring up the pace. The high-energy style will incorporate turns, footwork and body isolations. The objective for the participant in the Pre-Competition program is to expand their tap skills and put together their double and triple sounds into combinations of steps. Basic jazz technique will include isolation, across the floor movement and fun jazz funk combinations. In ballet, more emphasis will be placed on technique and larger movements and turns. The participant will also get a taste of competition dancing through the extra performances around the Eagan area.
