Congratulations to Alex, Brittany, Jibreel, & Xavier!

On January 16th & 17th, Alex N., Brittany M., Jibreel J. and Xavier H. traveled to Chicago, IL for an amazing opportunity to audition for the official school of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater!  There were over 150 dancers and only about 20 were selected to take part in their Summer Intensive Program. It was truly an exciting weekend and they all did a fabulous job!!!!!

Open Registration for Homeschool Classes

We are offering dance classes at our studio for home school students at an affordable price. Come and enjoy the fine art of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theater, and Hip-hop.

Class time is subject to change according to enrollments.

Class for the students start March 1, 2010 at Turning Pointe Dance Studio located at 4101 Nicols Rd. in Eagan, Mn. Just 6 minutes south of Mall of America. The cross streets are Nicols and Diffley Rd, one block east of Hwy 77.

 

Special Opportunity for Recreational Students

Recreational students can take from 1 to 5 classes per week. Recreational classes include tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, and technique.  

Rates:

1 class weekly : $50/month

Unlimited (up to 5 per week): $95/month  (Take 2,3,4,or all 5 of our recreational classes for an inclusive rate)

Competition

The objective for the participant in the Competition program is to begin more advanced technique concepts such as proper body alignment, balance and position.  They will begin faster and more intricate tap sounds.  Jazz will bring up the pace.  The high-energy style will incorporate turns, footwork and body isolations.  The participant will also take part in extra performances around the Eagan area.  They will participate in three competitions in the Metropolitan area.  Students who are interested

Pre-Competition

The objective for the participant in the Pre-Competition program is to expand their tap skills and put together their double and triple sounds into combinations of steps.  Basic jazz technique will include isolation, across the floor movement and fun jazz funk combinations. In ballet, more emphasis will be placed on technique and larger movements and turns.  The participant will also get a taste of competition dancing through the extra performances around the Eagan area
